What is a lonely doddle?

A lonely doddle is simply a post without a date.

It isn't lost, broken or forgotten - it just doesn't have a date in your publishing calendar.

Some lonely doddles are ready to publish. Others may still be works in progress. The only thing they have in common is that they haven't been scheduled yet.

Why are doddles lonely?

A doddle becomes lonely whenever it isn't assigned to a date and time in your publishing calendar.

That might be because you've just created it, removed its scheduled date, or you're still deciding when the timing is right.

Scheduling a lonely doddle

Giving your doddle a date is easy.

You can:

  • Choose a publishing date and time while creating or editing the doddle.
  • Drag and drop the doddle directly onto your publishing calendar.

Once a date has been assigned, it leaves the lonely list and becomes part of your publishing schedule.

Your publishing queue

The Lonely Doddles section is simply a place to keep track of posts that haven't found their place on the calendar yet.

Whether you're planning tomorrow's content or next month's campaign, your lonely doddles will be ready whenever you decide it's their time.
