Overview
Most connection issues are caused by permissions, account selection, or expired authorisation between dodd.ly and the social media platform.
In most cases, the issue can be resolved in a few simple steps without needing technical support.
Before you start
- You are logged into the correct social media account
- You have admin or required permissions for the channel you are trying to connect
- Pop-ups are enabled in your browser
- You have accepted all permissions requested during the connection process
Try reconnecting first
If a channel stops responding, you can also try refreshing the connection before removing it.
To do this:
- Go to your workspace -< manage channels
- Remove the existing channel connection
- Log out of the social media platform
- Log back in with the correct account
- Connect the channel again in dodd.ly
Common causes
- The social media account does not have the required permissions (e.g. not an admin of a Facebook Page)
- The account selected during login is different from the one you intended to connect
- The channel was previously connected and the token has expired
- Browser settings are blocking third-party authentication pop-ups
